The 1st ever Vintage Family Festival was in Bedford Place this summer…

Vintage Bus from 1976This was put on to celebrate Southampton’s 50 Year City Status with the Hampshire Farmers Market, Vintage Stalls, vintage vehicles, Lindy Hop Dancing, Still Moving DJ’s, 1976 Saints Bus & a street party.

We heard the good old tunes of the 1920’s and upwards played on 78’s from the Still Moving DJ’s, on their windup gramophone players, and joined in with the dancing brought to us by the amazing Lindy Club.

It was great fun for all the family – a real hoot!

We had for the first time ever, the Hampshire Farmers Market and in the main car park we had various vintage stalls, including ice cream/crepes from vintage vans, tea, cake and sandwiches, also stalls from The Cricketers pub with their real ale and the Orange Rooms with their funky vintage furniture and cocktails plus lots more.  Please go to our Facebook page to see whats next in Bedford Place or you can read our twitter feeds @lovebedfordplc.
